Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge

Huitt-Zollars served as the Structural Engineer-of-Record for this signature bridge adjacent to downtown Dallas. The bridge is part of the Woodall Rogers Freeway (Spur 366) extension across the Trinity River floodplain. The 1,200-foot cable-stayed bridge has a 430-foot-tall arch pylon, supporting the six travel lane superstructure. The deck cross section consists of a central box girder, cantilevered transverse steel floor beams, longitudinal stringers and a concrete deck. Huitt-Zollars was a subconsultant to Santiago Calatrava, the prime designer.
