Soos Creek Park Trail System

Huitt-Zollars provided master plan, civil/infrastructure engineering, and landscape architecture services for the Soos Creek Trail. The project provided a phased, 500-acre, regional park and trail system. Soos Creek Park encompasses a six-mile section of Big Soos Creek with associated wetlands and valley slopes. The Soos Creek corridor is considered one of the region's most sensitive natural areas. Therefore, all development was carefully analyzed and planned in order to minimize impacts to the stream and wetland environments. Work included alignment studies, route alternative identification, all phases of design and construction administration, survey, planning, easement acquisition assistance, environmental documentation, multi-agency permitting, and storm drainage review analysis.
