San Jacinto North Campus Cosmetology and Culinary Center

Huitt-Zollars provided architectural services for the new construction of a 57,650 SF building at San Jacinto College North Campus to house cosmetology and culinary training and certification programs. The Center was designed to replicate a professional salon and restaurant environment to support instruction based on real-world situations, which prepares students to be industry-ready while also creating a positive, engaged perception of San Jacinto College throughout the community. Huitt-Zollars developed the North Campus site to include parking, grading and drainage systems, the installation of water, wastewater, natural gas lines, and electrical service to the building from the existing campus primary distribution system, connection of hot and chilled water pipes to the existing Central Plant, and updated instructional labs and support spaces for core cosmetology, aesthetics, facial specialty, culinary arts, and pastry chef programs.
