Solana Business Park

Huitt-Zollars provided extensive surveying and civil engineering in order to produce a set of master plans for the development. All property lines, easements, building, drives, parking and underground utilities were identified. Solana is a 900-acre master planned business park. Corporate campus planning integrates mixed use retail and hotel. Buildings are carefully surrounded by open space and forested areas, promoting views of the natural landscape.

Redlands Spectrum

Huitt-Zollars provided preliminary and final grading plans, utility plans, storm drain plans and calculations, hydrology and hydraulics, a water quality management plan, storm water pollution prevention plan, parcel and condo maps, road dedications, and site planning services. The project involved 14 executive office buildings that range from 2,500-square-foot single-story units up to 20,000-square-foot, two-story units. Huitt-Zollars designed several underground storm chamber systems, allowing storm water storage that percolates into underlying soil. The system helps recharge the ground wa

Huitt-Zollars provided site plan layout, preliminary grading and drainage design and construction documents for a two-story, 30,000 square-foot office building and parking lot located on approximately 1.5 acres. The site design included the use of porous concrete pavement to help reduce and treat stormwater runoff prior to releasing runoff into the public right-of-way. Also, to minimize the use of underground storm drain systems, a natural drainage swale was utilized on-site to help convey stormwater runoff around the building and to the adjacent roadway.

Koll Center Spectrum Office Parks

The Koll Center Spectrum Office Parks I, II, and III are located on three distinct parcels totaling 31 acres. The projects consisted of more than 436,000 square-foot of office space within 28 separate buildings. Huitt-Zollars prepared preliminary engineering documents necessary for planning commission approval, plus preliminary grading, drainage and utility concepts, a preconstruction ALTA survey, and boundary surveys.

Hewlett Packard Infrastructure Improvements

As Design Engineer, Huitt-Zollars provided infrastructure improvements related to water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, and roadway access for 120 acres within the City of Rio Rancho’s Central Business District. A fully collaborative effort was successfully executed between several different entities. The project was designed and constructed within an 11-month time frame to meet the strict agreement requirements between the City of Rio Rancho and the client. The compressed time frame was a unique aspect of the job, resulting in successful project completion two months ahead of schedule.

Haven Office Park

Huitt-Zollars provided site plan layout, preliminary grading, drainage design, and construction documents for the development of two, two-story, 16,000 square-foot office buildings and parking lots located on approximately three acres. The site design included the use of natural drainage swales, underground infiltration chambers and catch basin filters to help reduce and treat stormwater runoff prior to releasing runoff into the public right-of-way.

Azusa Court

Huitt-Zollars provided site design including grading and drainage, a sewer and water plan, and public street improvement plan revisions. Azusa Court is a two-story office building and parking lot fronting the Empire Lakes Golf Course in the City of Rancho Cucamonga.

Energy Tower Campus

Complete architectural and interior architectural services for the master plan and design of this significant commerce park that's geared towards the oil and gas industry. The office buildings reflect inspirational office design and feature all aspects of security and technology. The circulation system contains multiple access points for ease of accessibility, maximized visual art exposure, and uninterrupted traffic flow during construction phasing. Buried utility lines maximize tree exposure, green landscaping, and lake views within the park.

Oil and Gas Office Space

The client, an independent oil and gas company, expanded its business into West Texas. Environmental elements were critical design factors for a new energy efficient facility. Prefinished architectural concrete and aluminum wall panels shift thermal heat gain and create a barrier resistant to the local temperature variations and windblown abrasives. Thermal "low e" insulated/tinted glazing was utilized with window blinds and horizontal solar canopies. A large roof eyebrow protects the building from harsh daytime sun while simultaneously reducing heat gain.

Houston Downtown Office Space

This 24,827 square-foot space was designed to provide optimal flexibility for employee growth while integrating modern features like glass offices and open north views to the city. The bi-product of cohesive architectural and engineering design, the space welcomes collaboration and innovation through an open workplace and meets sustainable industry standards using sustainable materials and methods.
