Ridglea Country Club

In an effort to enhance Ridglea Country Club, originally built in 1954, Huitt-Zollars developed a masterplan for future facility improvements to better accommodate approximately 1,500 members. An overall facility condition assessment was performed to determine possible infrastructure issues and associated costs. The design team facilitated visioning and programming workshops with key members and developed a phased renovation plan which included architectural and interior design services.

Hunters Creek Senior Living

Hunters Creek is a six-story, 160-unit, senior assisted living and memory care facility located in Houston, Texas. Huitt-Zollars provided architecture and design services for the renovation of the existing space. The 109,000-square-foot facility includes a large commercial kitchen and dining area, courtyard, pool, fitness and physical therapy space, library, computer lab, and a secure, second-floor terrace for residents with dementia.

Doug Pitcock '49 Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center

Architectural and interior design services were provided for this 8-story, 252,000 square-foot hotel and conference center, which opened in August of 2018 and is conveniently located across from Kyle Field at Texas A&M University. Amenities of the 4-star, full-service hotel and conference center include upscale guest rooms featuring state-of-the-art technology, a full-service restaurant, bars and lounges, a gym, a business center, and 35,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Dallas Cowboys Stadium Construction Staking

The new $1.15 billion Dallas Cowboys Stadium is located in Arlington, TX. During stadium construction, Huitt-Zollars’ survey department was responsible for the horizontal and vertical calculations and location layout used in the placement and erection of steel beams. Precision and accuracy were paramount in the steel beam placement, ensuring fluid/smooth operation of the retractable roof. The firm also assisted in the placement of the 600 ton, high definition LED video screen. The Dallas Cowboys Stadium can seat 80,000 to 100,000 guests by use of a moveable seating system.

Horizon Boulevard Walk/Bike Path

FM 1281 (known locally as Horizon Boulevard) is a major Texas Department of Transportation Highway for Horizon City, Texas. The highly traveled boulevard had limited sidewalks that were not well-connected, creating safety concerns for pedestrians and bicyclists. The City Council of Horizon City had a desire to install a sidewalk along Horizon Boulevard to provide connectivity to schools, parks, and commercial areas as part of their Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program, while also delivering a safe place for residents to walk or bicycle.
