Blaze Pizza Flagship Restaurant

Huitt-Zollars celebrates the opening of the new flagship restaurant for Blaze Pizza, the nation's leading fast casual artisanal pizza chain, in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort. The modern day "pizza joint," known for its chef-driven recipes and casually hip restaurants, debuts in an architecturally innovative structure that was designed by the Huitt-Zollars specifically for this iconic location.

Thornton Park Central

Architectural design services were provided for Thornton Park Central, a self-contained living/working environment. The multi-use project includes 20,000 SF of retail space, features a sidewalk café with patio seating, and four levels of residential condos above the street level shops. The 328-car parking garage is tucked behind the street-front shops and condos, providing availability for tenants and guests. The project’s north wing hosts 40,000 SF of commercial office space within five floors, and features scenic views to historic Lake Eola and the downtown Orlando skyline.

Rio 2016 Olympic Master Plan

The design concept of The Olympic Plan, 2016, is that of Brazilian youth participating in the fluid movement of sports, an image prominent in Brazilian culture. Guests visiting the Olympic Park site are immediately engaged in the flavor of the Rio Olympic Games, with the Olympic Plaza and Waterfront Park as the focal points. All sports and entertainment venues can be accessed from the Olympic Plaza. At the Olympic Waterfront Park are opportunities to visit the Live Site and view sporting events and medal presentations, visit the Olympic Waterfront Fountain, or the Corporate Sponsor area.

Beto Carrero Master Plan 2026

Beto Carrero World, located in southern Brazil, is the largest theme park in Latin America. The theme park was under pressure to expand due to a growing park attendance and needed to solve several transportation and service issues as well as have a logical plan in place to accommodate future attractions and expand its capacity.

Marina da Glória

The old Marina da Glória has a prominent place in the history and culture of Rio de Janeiro because of its location as the traditional gateway to Rio by sea and air, and because of its proximity to the Roberto Burle Marx Park and Oscar Niemeyer’s War Memorial. Years of neglect and poor maintenance had caused this jewel along Rio’s waterfront to fall into disrepair, so Huitt-Zollars' Rio de Janeiro office was asked to program and provide a concept design for the renovation of this complex.

Port Maravilha/Port of Rio Master Plan

This project is about Urban Connectivity, creating and connecting urban green spaces, and reconnecting this historic city to its waterfront. The majority of the area’s infrastructure and built structures are obsolete and rapidly deteriorating. This entire district is in the process of redevelopment to host future Olympic venues. Primarily, the solution increases the commercial value of this optimally located property, in central Rio de Janeiro, through a variety of enhancements. Increasing walkability, to and from the waterfront, endorses connectivity across the city.

Arabian Gulf Resort

For this resort concept, retail and restaurants will be directly adjacent to the Grand Canal, providing a sense of place to areas that are inherently landlocked. Water taxis ferry guests back and forth throughout the resort, eliminating the need for car traffic within the resort proper. Across the bridge are villas featuring one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites for clientele. They are clustered around courtyard spaces where guests can sit outside in the evening and socialize, or simply enjoy the fountains and landscapes.

Desert Sky Resort

Resort areas are laid out to provide plenty of viewpoints of the iconic dunes. Desert Sky’s Main Resort Village and Villas are the primary visual of the project. Iconic ‘Ships of the Desert’ architecture features bold forms that work both with and in contrast of the dunes. Key functionality includes main resort family pool, fitness center, services, and top tier restaurants which feature vast desert views along with the epicurean experience.

Palm Island Hotel

This 1.4 million-square-foot, full-service resort and business hotel was designed to house 550 guest rooms, a ballroom, a conference facility, five restaurants, a spa, and below grade parking. Traditional ‘Arab’ architecture and restrictive setbacks result in a ‘tiered’ building massing.
