As Vice President and Principal at the Huitt-Zollars Phoenix office, John leads a wide range of public and private sector projects across Arizona, bringing a deep understanding of context-sensitive design and stakeholder collaboration.
John’s portfolio includes streetscapes, parks, sports complexes, stormwater infrastructure, and pathways. His notable projects include Tumbleweed Park Ballfield Complex in Chandler, 1st Street Streetscape in Phoenix, the Arizona Canal Pathway Improvements, and the award-winning Reata Sports Complex in Scottsdale. He is known for his ability to integrate sustainable design strategies to preserve the natural character of the landscape.
With a strong background in project management, John excels in site analysis, master planning, and construction administration. His work consistently reflects a commitment to community engagement, environmental stewardship, and design excellence.
John holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University and is a licensed Professional Landscape Architect in Arizona. He has been with Huitt-Zollars for 18 years and continues to shape the built environment through thoughtful, innovative design.
