
Kevin Carlson, PE, is a highly experienced civil engineer with over 25 years of expertise in land development, transportation, and public works. As Vice President and Principal at our Dallas office, Kevin leads multidisciplinary teams in delivering complex infrastructure and urban development projects across Texas.
Kevin’s portfolio includes a wide range of public and private sector projects, from master-planned communities and roadway improvements to major utility infrastructure and airport modernization. His technical capabilities span preliminary planning, environmental assessments, hydraulic modeling, and final design. He is proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation with GEOPAK, and hydrology and hydraulics software such as HEC-RAS, frequently used by TxDOT and other agencies.
Notable projects under Kevin’s leadership include the civil land and airside work of the Love Field Modernization Program, the DART Phase 2 Light Rail Extension, and large-scale master planned residential developments such as Lantana, Walsh Ranch and Light Farms. His approach emphasizes technical precision, client collaboration, and efficient project delivery.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
