Mike Tehrani, PE, PMP, CFM, is a Vice President and Principal at Huitt-Zollars’ Houston West office, where he leads stormwater quality initiatives and provides strategic direction for hydrologic and hydraulic engineering services. With 28 years of experience in civil engineering, Mike is a trusted expert in drainage master planning, floodplain mitigation, stormwater quality, and FEMA coordination.

His technical expertise includes watershed modeling, sediment transport, river geomorphology, scour analysis, and open channel hydraulics. He has led complex drainage and flood control projects across Texas. His work consistently integrates innovative design with community engagement, as demonstrated by his leadership in public meetings and grant-funded infrastructure planning.

Mike holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on hydraulics from the University of Houston. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, a Certified Floodplain Manager, and a Project Management Professional, certified by the Project Management Institute.

Known for his technical depth and collaborative leadership, Mike continues to advance Huitt-Zollars’ stormwater quality practice through high-impact projects and a commitment to resilient, sustainable infrastructure.
