Monica Kent, LEED AP, is the Federal Practice Area Leader and a Senior Vice President, bringing extensive expertise in managing large-scale federal programs. Monica oversees strategic planning, business performance, and client engagement within the federal sector, while brining innovative approaches to delivering the mission within the funding requirements.

Monica’s leadership is exemplified by her pivotal role in the $4.8 billion Fort Bliss Expansion Program, where she successfully managed complex design and integration efforts across a diverse portfolio of design/build and design/bid/build contracts. She also led the team of architects, engineers, and field staff that delivered construction phase services for the $1.2 billion Fort Bliss Replacement Hospital, guiding the project to completion.

She through her management of the BUILDER Air Force Sustainable Infrastructure Assessment Program, she directed teams of architects and engineers in assessing and evaluating infrastructure and facilities across multiple Air Force installations nationwide.

Her project portfolio includes nationally significant initiatives such as the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Western Currency Expansion, BEP’s New Currency Facility in Beltsville, MD, the White Sands Missile Range Directorate of Emergency Services Headquarters, and the Westside Creek Ecosystem Restoration Program in San Antonio.

Monica’s dedication to excellence and her ability to navigate the complexities of federal projects have earned her a reputation as a trusted leader in the field. A committed member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) since 2007, she has consistently invested her time and expertise to support SAME Engineering & Construction STEM Camps for high school students.

 Since 2016, Monica has served as Senior Mentor at the US Air Force Academy (USAFA) SAME Camp, guiding and inspiring the next generation of engineers and military leaders. The USAFA SAME Camp fosters future STEM professionals and leaders through the dedication of experienced mentors. Designed for rising 10th–12th grade students, the program offers a weeklong, hands-on immersion in construction and engineering activities.
