Nicholas (Nick) Young, PE, is a Vice President, Principal‑In‑Charge, and the Managing Principal of Huitt‑Zollars’ Fort Worth office. He brings more than a decade of high‑impact engineering and project management experience, with a focus on complex federal, industrial, and public‑sector facilities.

Nick has played key leadership roles on several major federal programs, including the Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s new Eastern Currency Facility, the USDA Fruit Fly Rearing and Release Facility, and multiple large‑scale Facility Condition Assessment programs. In these roles, he has led multidisciplinary teams and overseen multi‑million‑square‑foot assessment and data collection efforts across federal assets.

Known for his technical rigor and collaborative leadership, Nick works closely with clients and project teams to deliver coordinated, mission‑critical solutions. As Managing Principal, he guides the strategic direction of the Fort Worth office, oversees staff and resource management, and represents the firm within the local community.

Nick is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, Maryland, and Washington, DC, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
