Steven Harris, PE, is a seasoned engineering professional with 28 years of experience in aviation, transportation, and infrastructure planning, design, and construction. Currently serving as the Managing Principal of Huitt-Zollars’ Oklahoma City office, Steve brings a wealth of technical expertise and leadership to his role, where he is focused on growing a high-performing team and delivering impactful infrastructure solutions.

Throughout his career, Steve has demonstrated a deep commitment to excellence in both engineering and client service. His project portfolio spans a wide range of aviation and civil infrastructure projects, including runway, taxiway, and apron design; airfield lighting and navigational aids; land acquisition; drainage systems; access roads; parking facilities; and access control systems. His aviation work has supported both general aviation and commercial service airports in states such as Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Kansas, New York, Idaho, Colorado, and Alabama.

Steve’s leadership has been instrumental in managing complex, multi-million-dollar projects, including on-call engineering services for the Oklahoma City Department of Airports and a comprehensive wayfinding and signage improvement program at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

In addition to his aviation expertise, Steve has led numerous transportation and site development projects, including roadway design, bridge improvements, water/wastewater systems, stormwater management, and facility development. His broad technical background enables him to deliver integrated solutions for infrastructure needs.
