
John Anthony “Tony” Sosebee, PE, DBIA, is a Senior Vice President, Principal, and Board Member at Huitt-Zollars. With over 40 years of experience in civil engineering and project leadership, Tony brings a deep understanding of multi-disciplined design integration, complex project delivery, and client-focused solutions to meet budgets and schedules.
Tony’s expertise spans transportation, transit, land development for residential and commercial developments, water delivery and wastewater collection systems, and military infrastructure. His portfolio includes major projects such as the Sound Transit’s LRT expansions in Seattle, Military Family and Unaccompanied Housing facilities on numerous Federal installations, and the Freedom Crossing Lifestyle Center at Fort Bliss. He has also led infrastructure development for master-planned communities like Lantana, Stonebridge Ranch, and Phillips Creek Ranch in Texas, and public works projects for the cities of Dallas, Plano and Frisco.
A licensed Professional Engineer in seven states, Tony holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology supplemented with graduate studies in Business Administration at Georgia State University. He is a certified Design-Build Professional through the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA).
Tony serves on the boards of the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Dallas Planning Council, and the North Texas Commission. His leadership is marked by a collaborative approach, technical excellence, and a commitment to advancing design that enhances community connectivity, sustainability, and long-term economic vitality.
