
Wes Vote, PE, is a Vice President and Principal at Huitt-Zollars, based in the firm’s Rio Rancho office. With over 24 years of civil engineering experience, Wes specializes in the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure across New Mexico. He supports the firm’s commitment to resilient, high-performance utility systems for public and private clients.
Wes’s expertise includes wastewater collection systems—gravity mains, lift stations, force mains, vacuum and low-pressure systems—as well as advanced wastewater treatment facilities designed to meet Class 1A effluent standards. He is highly skilled in hydraulic modeling, odor control, and the design of water distribution systems, booster stations, pressure-reducing stations, and deep wells for potable use.
His portfolio features major projects such as the Coors Area Combination Vacuum/Gravity Lift Station, the City of Hobbs Effluent Reuse System, and the Cabezon Wastewater Treatment and Effluent Reuse Systems in Rio Rancho. He has also led the development of master plans and modeling tools that help municipalities prioritize infrastructure investments and plan for growth.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Mexico and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state. Wes is an active member of the American Water Works Association, the Water Environment Federation, and the Water Reuse Association.
