Huitt-Zollars is proud to share that Eduardo “Eddie” Reyes, PE, CCM, ENV SP has been selected as the 2026 Engineer of the Year by the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) DFW Mid-Cities Chapter, one of the chapter’s highest honors recognizing professional excellence, leadership, and service to the engineering community.

The Engineer of the Year award is presented annually during Engineers Week (E-Week), a nationwide celebration founded by the National Society of Professional Engineers to recognize the vital contributions engineers make to society. The honor highlights individuals who demonstrate exceptional technical achievement, uphold the highest ethical standards, and give back to the profession and their communities.

Eddie accepted this prestigious award in person at the chapter’s E-Week banquet, surrounded by peers, colleagues, and industry leaders.

Eddie earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2013 and has built a dynamic career in construction management, civil design, project coordination, and client service. A licensed Professional Engineer in Texas since 2019, he brings more than 12 years of experience to Huitt-Zollars, supporting a wide range of public infrastructure projects.

His work includes roadway design, water and wastewater improvements, and stormwater upgrades that strengthen North Texas communities. Known for his collaborative leadership and problem-solving mindset, Eddie is also deeply engaged in the profession through TSPE, ASCE, and SHPE, and is passionate about mentoring the next generation of engineers.
