Huitt-Zollars is pleased to announce the promotion of Nicholas (Nick) Young, PE, to a Vice President and Principal-In-Charge. He has also been named Managing Principal of the firm’s Fort Worth, TX, office. In this expanded leadership role, Nick will play a pivotal part in shaping the strategic direction of the office by strengthening client relationships, elevating project delivery, and advancing business development initiatives. As Managing Principal, he will lead the Fort Worth office with a focus on advancing long-term growth, optimizing staff and technical resources, and serving as a key representative of Huitt-Zollars within the Fort Worth community.

Nick brings more than a decade of high-impact engineering and project management experience, including significant leadership roles on some of the country’s most complex federal, industrial, and public-sector facilities. His portfolio features critical contributions to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s new Eastern Currency Facility, USDA Fruit Fly Rearing and Release Facility, and multiple large-scale Facility Condition Assessment programs. In these roles, Nick has directed multidisciplinary teams and overseen multi-million square-foot data collection efforts of federal assets. He is widely respected for his technical rigor, collaborative leadership, and unwavering commitment to delivering excellence for clients with complex operational needs and mission-critical facilities.

Nick is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, Maryland, and Washington, DC. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
