Huitt-Zollars welcomes Joseph Snider, RLS as a Vice President and Survey Manager of our Arizona offices, Phoenix and Prescott. He will be based in the Phoenix office. In this role, Joseph will lead the survey team across Arizona, bringing strategic leadership and technical expertise to both public and private sector initiatives. He will oversee daily operations, mentor staff, and collaborate with municipal and private partners to advance surveying, mapping, and construction staking services.
Joseph brings four decades of experience in surveying projects, including leadership roles in both government and private practice. Most recently, he served as the 34th Surveyor (Chief Surveyor) for the Government of the District of Columbia, where he led a team of surveyors, liaised with regulatory agencies, and initiated cross-agency partnerships for jurisdictional management. His prior roles include Deputy Surveyor for DC and Director of Technical Services at Snider and Associates, where he managed stormwater and sediment control services in the state of Maryland. His project portfolio includes boundary and A.L.T.A. surveys for drainage plans and public sector redevelopment efforts .
Joseph is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor, a charter member and past president of the D.C. Association of Land Surveyors, and a member of the Maryland Society of Surveyors.
