The Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is a high‑security center of industrial excellence for rotary‑wing aircraft and the largest helicopter repair facility in the world. To address aging facilities and long‑standing operational inefficiencies within Building 8, Huitt‑Zollars provided comprehensive facility and site master planning services to support CCAD’s long‑term modernization program.

The project scope included space planning and programming, equipment needs identification and acquisition sequencing, overall project definition, and evaluation of funding and construction phasing alternatives. Huitt‑Zollars served as the prime consultant for the program and provided 100 percent of the architectural and engineering design services for the Dynamic Component Rebuild Facility (DCRF), the first phase of the multi‑phase Building 8 replacement effort.
