Huitt-Zollars was responsible for the relocation and improvement of Tatum Boulevard to a four-lane divided roadway with improved horizontal and vertical geometrics, and intersection improvements.  The project required careful alignment design to minimize adverse impact to adjacent property owners. Drainage analysis was a key element in the initial study, primarily due to a proposed grade separation to accommodate cross traffic. The study resulted in a safer roadway with a greatly improved horizontal and vertical configuration with minimal impact on adjacent properties. The project included design of traffic signals at three locations, signing, striping, construction sequencing, and traffic control plans.
